Here I am going to explain how to add/activate/deactivate a projectile trail for the game/mod.
You need Pack File Manager (tool) to make this changes.
I am not going to explain how to use Pack File Manager or how to create a mod pack file (if someone is interesting that I make a tutorial about using PFM or how to make a mod file, let me know in the comments below).

1. Open (Run) Pack File Manager and open db of the modded pack file or the vanilla data.pack file (do not overwrite the default data.pack file, instead make a mod pack file).
2. First, let us check which type of projectile you want to use (or which unit uses which projectile), and for that we need to go to "units_stats_land_tables":

3. Click on "units_stats_land". This will open the file (where all the stats are from the land units).
4. Go for example to a unit to see which projectile they are using (in this example I am taking the "Royal Marines"). Scroll down until you find the appropriate unit.
5. Now, let us go to the appropriate row, the "default_missile_type" and see which type of projectile they are using (in this example, the Royal Marines use the "boshin_breech_loading_rifle"):

6. Now we know which projectile it uses, we need to go to the "projectiles_tables" in the db (to change/activate/deactivate the trail it uses):

7. Click on "projectiles" (this will open the file and there you can see all projectiles been used in game).
8. Scroll down until you find the appropriate projectile that you want to change (in this example "boshin_breech_loading_rifle"):

9. Now let us go to the appropriate row to change the trail of the "boshin_breech_loading_rifle". We need to go to "trail" and scroll:

10. Now change the trail to the one you like (you can test them all out and see how it works):

11. Save the pack file and your done. Enjoy the changes.
